  1. Elographics Touchscreen Driver
  2.  
  3. The Elographics touchscreen driver has been included with
  4. AmigaVision to allow you to use any Amiga-compatible monitor
  5. with the Elographics touchscreen.
  6.

  14. There are four programs on this disk that are used with the
  15. touchscreen: TouchOn, TouchOff, Calibrate and CalibValues.
  16.  
  17. After connecting your Elographics touchscreen and turning on
  18. your Amiga, the first program you will need to run is Calibrate. 
  19. Calibrate aligns the touchscreen with the location of your
  20. Workbench screen.  If you adjust the position of the Workbench
  21. screen, you should re-calibrate the touchscreen.  Use Calibrate
  22. by following the directions that appear in the center of the
  23. screen and touch the screen in the upper left and lower right. 
  24. Save the calibration by choosing Save from the Options pull-down
  25. menu at the upper left of the screen.

  27. To enable the touchscreen, double-click on the TouchOn icon.
  28.  
  29. To disable, or turn off, the touchscreen, double-click on the
  30. TouchOff icon.  Running Calibrate will also turn off the
  31. touchscreen driver.

  33. You can simulate a press on the right mouse button by
  34. simultaneously pressing the CTRL key and the touchscreen.  As
  35. long as you press the CTRL key all touchscreen commands will be
  36. treated as right-mouse-button input and either display the
  37. pull-down menus or any feature a program may have incorporated.

  39. CalibValues is a file containing the calibration values.  You
  40. will not get a response if you click on this icon.  The icon is
  41. used to make it easier to install all the needed files on a hard
  42. disk.

  44. Adjustments to the Baud rate, Timeout and Port are done by
  45. clicking once on the TouchOn icon and choosing Info from the
  46. Workbench menu, or, if using Workbench 2.0, choosing Information
  47. from the Icons menu.  In the Tool Types box remove the semi-colon
  48. and change the baud rate to the rate for which your touchscreen
  49. is set.  Click on save and the new baud rate is set.  Timeout and
  50. Port are reset in a similar manner.

  53. INSTALLING THE DRIVER ON A HARD DISK
  54.  
  55. Installing the Elographics touchscreen driver on your hard disk
  56. is simply a matter of dragging the four (4) icons from Tutorial
  57. Disk 2 to the hard disk drawer.  This can be done either one at a
  58. time by clicking on the icon and dragging the icon to its new
  59. location, or by shift-clicking on the icons.  Or if you want,
  60. just drag the whole drawer over to the hard disk.

  62. If you want the touchscreen driver to run when you turn your
  63. Amiga on, you will need to add a line containing TouchOn and its
  64. path to your Startup-sequence.
